Who We Are

The PrepStar story began in 1981 when company founder and president Jeff Duva created Collegiate Sports of America, the nation's first-ever collegiate recruiting organization designed to assist student-athletes and their families understand and navigate the turbulent and competitive world of college recruiting. Today, PrepStar is recognized as the nation's most respected name in the world of college recruiting, having helped more than 75,000 student-athletes live their dreams of competing in the exciting world of college athletics. Over the course of the last three decades PrepStar has helped student-athletes and their families receive more than $2.5 Billion in athletic scholarships and financial aid opportunities to off-set the financial burden of achieving a college education.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to make sure college coaches are aware of your talents as a college prospect. Before enrolling with CSA-PrepStar I had heard from only a handful of small local colleges. Within one month after using CSA’s service I heard from over 50 colleges from coast to coast and before all was said and done I received letters and phone calls for over 100 colleges. None of this would have happened had I relied on my high school coach to help me get recruited. CSA-PrepStar was the best investment my parents ever made for me. Not only did I receive a great college education from a great university, I was able to play college baseball and get drafted to play professional ball for the Oakland A's.

We obtained the services of CSA-PrepStar back in November because we had not had one single college contact and were getting a little concerned. Now that Michael has made his decision, I can tell you we had around 20-25 schools cont act him and of those, only 2 did NOT get his name from CSA. I really don’t know where Michael would be going to school had we not used the recruitment service. We thought th at just playing for the Heat would be enough to get recruited, and he pitched very well in some games where there were scouts. But when we had no contacts by Sept ember, we made a CD of Michael pitching and sent it out to about 30 schools. We still had no contacts by November so we hired CSA. Honestly, my only regret is that we didn’t get him in the system sooner. If you feel you need a recruitment service to help I highly recommend CSA.
